Meet Jason

Jason Guidone’s life has always been rooted in family, faith, and community.

Born in Wallingford, Connecticut, Jason comes from a long line of local history — a descendant of John Ives, one of Wallingford’s early founding families who served in the Revolutionary War as part of General George Washington’s personal guard. That legacy of service has shaped Jason’s belief that leadership is about responsibility, integrity, and putting others first.

Today, Jason proudly calls Hebron home. He is a devoted husband and a proud “Pepe” to four grandchildren. Around town, you’re just as likely to find him working in his garden, tinkering with a small engine, or caring for his backyard chickens as you are attending a community event or church gathering.

Jason spent 20 years at ESPN, building a successful career through hard work and dedication. After retiring, he chose to invest more of his time in the community he loves — focusing on family, faith, and local involvement. A graduate of Xavier Catholic Men’s High School, Jason has long drawn strength from his faith and remains active at Hebron Church of Hope, where he participates in the men’s ministry and continues singing spiritual music.

But like many families across the 19th District, Jason has watched Connecticut become more expensive and more difficult for hard working families, retirees, and young people to afford. He believes government should live within its means, support law enforcement, and keep education decisions close to home.

Jason isn’t running to build a political career. He’s running to serve the towns of the 19th District with common sense, honesty, and a collaborative spirit — the same values he’s lived by his entire life.

To Jason, leadership isn’t about titles. It’s about showing up, listening, and standing up for your neighbors.

And that’s exactly what he intends to do.
