Guidone Wins Republican Primary, Demonstrating District-Wide Support Across the 19th District

HEBRON, Conn. — Jason Guidone, Republican candidate for State Senate in Connecticut’s 19th District, won Tuesday’s Republican Primary, reinforcing the broad support his campaign has built across the district and setting the stage for the November election.

The primary victory follows the strong support Guidone received at the Republican convention in May, where he secured 77% of the delegate vote to earn the party endorsement.

That support extended throughout the district, with Guidone earning the backing of Republican Town Committees and local Republican leaders representing communities across the 19th District, as well as the endorsement of the Connecticut Republican Assembly.

“This campaign is about putting people first. From the convention in May through Primary Day, Republicans across the 19th District have made their voices heard,” Guidone said. “I am humbled by their trust and grateful to everyone who voted, volunteered, knocked on doors, put up signs, contributed, and stood with us.”

Guidone also thanks his primary opponent, former State Representative Mike France, for his years of public service.

“I want to thank Mike France for his service to our state and for putting his name forward in this race,” Guidone said. “Primaries give Republican voters an opportunity to make their choice, and they have now made that choice. It is time to come together as Republicans, move forward as one team, and focus on winning this seat in November.”

Guidone said the campaign will continue emphasizing the message that has driven it from the beginning: putting the people of the district ahead of politics.

“This victory belongs to all of us,” Guidone said. “Now we turn our focus to November and to earning the trust of voters throughout the 19th District. I will work every day to be a strong voice for our families, seniors, businesses, farmers, and communities in Hartford.”
