Jason Guidone Announces Candidacy for Connecticut State Senate, 19th District

Hebron, CT, (February 26, 2026)  — Jason Guidone, a longtime Hebron resident, retired ESPN professional, and dedicated community member, has officially announced his candidacy for Connecticut State Senate in the 19th District.

Born in Wallingford and proud to call Hebron home for the last 11 years, Jason brings a lifetime commitment to family, faith, and service to his campaign. A husband, father of two daughters, and proud grandfather of four—known affectionately as “Pepe”—Jason believes strong communities are built on shared values: freedom, personal responsibility, and opportunity.

“I’m not a career politician — I’m your neighbor,” Guidone said. “I care deeply about the families, small businesses, and towns that make up our 19th District.”

After more than 20 years at ESPN, Jason retired with a renewed focus on giving back to the community he loves. Known locally for his hands-on approach to life—whether repairing small engines, tending his permaculture garden, or caring for his backyard chickens—Jason believes practical solutions and personal responsibility create stronger communities.

Faith remains central to his life. A graduate of Xavier Catholic Men’s High School, Jason began performing spiritual music as a student and continues to serve at Hebron Church of Hope, where he is active in the men’s ministry.

Guidone says his campaign is rooted in bringing common-sense leadership, honesty, and real collaboration to Hartford — not politics as usual.

“I’m running to serve, not to build a political career,” he said. “This campaign isn’t about me. It’s about us.”

His priorities include lowering the cost of living, strengthening public safety, protecting local control of schools and communities, and ensuring that state government works for families — not special interests.

“If we want lower costs of living, safer communities, and stronger local control for our schools, we have to stand together — across every town in this district,” Guidone said. “Stand with me. Let’s unite the 19th District and win this — together.”
